Cozumel is a magical place full of beauty, being an island that is part of the magnificent Mexican Caribbean and fundamental tourist destination of the coast of the Mexican Riviera Maya. Cozumel is the largest inhabited island in the country and only 19 km from the Yucatan coast, but part of the repertoire of the beautiful state of Quintana Roo.

The municipality has a total extension of 647.33 km2; which represents 1.27% of the state. It includes the island of Cozumel, adjacent islets and cays. The facilities of CALICA and the Ecological Park of Xel-Ha are located in the Continental zone. The island is about 39 km long and an average width of 12.8 km.
For beginners: North and South Paraiso, near the international cruise ship dock. Max. depth 14m.Chankanaab, with deliberately sunken objects (a ship, cannons, a Christ) Max. depth 17m. Jardines de Plancar: Light current, between 10 and 20m. La Herradura, with high formations distributed in curve. Depths of 10,20 and 30m. Wall of Villablanca, has schools and large sponges and gorgonidos. Max. depth 30 m. Torments, with coral heads, brunette, angels and groupers. Depth max 12m and 21m.
For advanced: Palancar, is the most famous in Cozumel. Depths between 12m and 30m. Cuevas de Palancar, its entrance is 15m deep and its exit at 40m. Colombia: corals, anemones, fans and lots of fish.
